This month, the Housing Unlimited staff is gearing up for the fall and winter. Please find a few helpful tips from our maintenance team!
One of the easiest things you can do to keep your furnace in good shape is to regularly change your furnace filter. Housing Unlimited staff change filters every two months to protect the longevity of our systems!
Don’t forget to have your HVAC system checked at least twice a year. Save some money by having your system reviewed when HVAC companies are less busy in the fall and spring months.
As fall leaves start to accumulate make sure to clean debris in your gutters! If you’re able to clean your own gutters, a metal spatula can clear things up without scratching up the inside. Don’t forget to clean out your gutter downspouts as well!
Drain your garden hoses before putting them away for the winter. Generally, this isn’t a problem but freezing water can split open a hose! Don’t waste money. Make sure to dump the water out before storing them.
